A wide range of after school activities and clubs.

Sports and related competition with other local
international schools has begun and will be expanded as we
add the higher grades.

This past year we organized football teams for our boys and
girls. They competed in a local tournament and won the
competition. They had an undefeated season.

We will provide free of charge after school tuition (extra
lessons) for any students in grades 1-8 that need extra
help. This is our BASA (Basic After School Assistance)
program.

We believe that Reading and Writing are the most important
skills a student must acquire as rapidly as possible during
their time at MIES. We will emphasize this by having a
special daily class exclusively organized to improve reading
and writing skills.

MIES publishes a periodic newsletter entitled "Thukamein".
We recognize our staffs and students accomplishments in this
publication plus provide important information to our
families.

MIES organizes several outstanding special programs during
the school year. All of our students perform in these
programs. We have an exciting Holiday Program in December.
It is our biggest event of the year with a huge audience
from our community.

International Day Celebration is the way MIES recognizes and
celebrates our cultural diversity. All the countries
represented at MIES provide us with a delightful program of
dances and songs. Everyone dresses in their native costume
for this special occasion.

Students are recognized for their academic achievements and
improvement in their lessons at our semester ending Awards
Assembly.

Field trips are an integral part of our school program. When
possible these trips are designed to be enjoyable and
complement the classroom lessons. We have visited such
places as the National Village and Museums, the Yangon Zoo,
Gems Museum, National Observatory, Crocodile Farm and other
locations. Our older students have an overnight trip.

This year we will sponsor a Science Fair for our upper
grade students.

MIES has a full time certified nurse on duty.

MIES will have a Science Fair , where are older students
will have the opportunity to a showcase their talents in the
Science discipline.
